It is an imaging technique that uses rotating beams of X-rays to create a three-dimensional model of the upper abdomen. A contrast agent is used to better visualize specific organs, blood vessels or tissues. The scan help diagnose diseases of the upper abdominal region such as infections like appendicitis and inflammatory bowel diseases like Crohn’s disease. It is also helpful in diagnosing liver, kidney, bladder, pancreatic, or ovarian cancers.
Male: Recent Creatinine blood test reports (not older than 15 days) required. At least 4 hours fasting required. One attendant mandatory for this test.. Female: Recent Creatinine blood test reports (not older than 15 days) required. At least 4 hours fasting required. For Female patients of reproductive age, LMP is required to avoid any testing if pregnant, else Negative Urine Pregnancy Test report is needed. One attendant mandatory for this test.
