It is an imaging test that uses a contrast agent to better visualize the carotid arteries – two large blood vessels located on both sides of your neck that deliver blood to your brain and head. The test helps find out blockages in the carotid arteries of the neck and assess whether surgery is needed to reopen a blocked blood vessel.
Male: Recent Creatinine blood test reports (not older than 15 days) required. At least 4 hours fasting required. One attendant mandatory for this test.. Female: Recent Creatinine blood test reports (not older than 15 days) required. At least 4 hours fasting required. For Female patients of reproductive age, LMP is required to avoid any testing if pregnant, else Negative Urine Pregnancy Test report is needed. One attendant mandatory for this test.
