It is an imaging technique that uses X-rays to create cross-sectional pictures of the organs inside the abdomen. A contrast agent is used to better visualize the organs. It helps diagnose certain types of cancer such as the renal pelvis, hepatocellular, lymphoma, melanoma, ovarian, pancreatic and pheochromocytoma. Your doctor may advise this test if you have symptoms such as abdominal pain, swelling, hernia, blood in urine, and kidney stones.
Male: Recent Creatinine blood test reports (not older than 15 days) required. At least 4 hours fasting required. One attendant mandatory for this test.. Female: Recent Creatinine blood test reports (not older than 15 days) required. At least 4 hours fasting required. For Female patients of reproductive age, LMP is required to avoid any testing if pregnant, else Negative Urine Pregnancy Test report is needed. One attendant mandatory for this test.
